Uniti is a fiber network company that owns or leases about 240,000 fiber route miles across 47 states, per its annual report for the year ended December 31, 2025. It took its current form on August 1, 2025, when Uniti completed its merger with Windstream.
Uniti reports three segments. Kinetic sells multi-gigabit fiber internet, whole-home Wi-Fi, internet security and voice service in about 1,400 markets across 18 states, per the fiscal 2025 annual report. Uniti Solutions runs managed networks, security and collaboration services for multi-site businesses. Fiber Infrastructure combines the legacy Uniti fiber and leasing businesses with the competitive local exchange carrier part of the wholesale business acquired from Windstream. That report counts more than 1.0 million customers, including more than 500,000 residential fiber customers. Headquarters are at 2101 Riverfront Drive in Little Rock, Arkansas. Uniti employed 8,632 team members at December 31, 2025. On its website, as of October 23, 2026, offerings sit under Wholesale, Enterprise, Solutions and Kinetic.
H-1B labor condition applications (LCAs) show no filings under the Uniti or Windstream names in calendar 2025. As of October 23, 2026, the careers site features six job families: Residential Outside Sales, Sales, Construction, Field Ops, Corporate, and Network & Engineering. Kinetic territory spans the Southwestern, Southeastern, Midwestern and Northeastern US. By fiber route miles at December 31, 2025, the largest states were Georgia at 29,900, Texas at 20,900 and Kentucky at 17,300. The annual report names no individual offices beyond the Little Rock headquarters.
About 23% of the workforce, 1,997 team members, were covered by collective bargaining agreements at December 31, 2025. The merger with Windstream closed on August 1, 2025, and folded both companies under one parent. That parent began as Windstream Parent, Inc. Before the deal, the old Uniti was an internally managed real estate investment trust with two lines of business, Uniti Fiber and Uniti Leasing. Headcounts from before August 2025 cover only one side of the deal and do not compare with the combined total. LCA filings under the Uniti and Windstream names numbered one in calendar 2023 and none in calendar 2024.
