In the break room at Charlotte last Tuesday night, a few of us were talking about how our leadership approaches things. One guy mentioned the CEO's desire to keep operating like we're still the small bottler in the Carolinas. It struck me, because we're running into real issues trying to keep pace with larger competitors. Someone else chimed in about how the District Sales Managers are bogged down in trying to enforce policies that don't fit our size anymore. It's frustrating. We're seeing more pushback from the team, and it feels like they're just wearing everyone down. I remember a couple weeks back, a driver threw their hands up after being told to stick to an old route plan that cut their stops in half. You could see how tired they were. I don't know how much longer people will put up with it.
