Early hours and the ability to be off in the afternoon sound appealing, and for some, they genuinely are. But being paid by the day instead of hourly, combined with excess overtime and poor career mobility, makes that schedule far less attractive over time. If Coca Cola insists on keeping day rates, workloads need to become far more reasonable per person, otherwise the model simply encourages burnout.
