A few weeks ago, I overheard a couple of UAW folks discussing their health coverage in Ciudad de Mexico. They were talking about how their plans cover things like dental and vision with minimal out-of-pocket expenses. Meanwhile, I compared my own benefits as a salaried employee and realized how much less comprehensive mine are. The contrast hit me hard when I saw how they had access to physical therapy sessions that I don't. It's frustrating to see such a gap in care just because of the job category.
