Internal politics can hinder career opportunities

In a recent project meeting, I suggested a new approach to streamline our workflow. I had put together a solid plan using some of the tools we have at INFY, thinking it would really help. My manager seemed to like it at first, but then another team member jumped in. They started pointing out flaws in my plan, and it felt personal. Instead of addressing the ideas, they questioned my experience and whether I'd even worked with that tool before. It got tense, and I could feel the atmosphere shift. Later, I overheard my manager discussing how they'd prefer to stick to the usual methods, implying that my suggestions were too risky. I left the meeting feeling sidelined and frustrated, realizing that even good ideas can get lost in the politics. It's hard to stay motivated when you see how internal dynamics can block progress and opportunities for growth.
