I’ll say this about Coca Cola, they love talking about leadership development and team building. There are meetings, programs, and a lot of talk about being ready for advancement. On paper, it sounds like a place that wants to grow leaders. But once consolidation kicked in, it felt like too many people reporting to too few supervisors. My direct manager was clearly stretched thin and that trickles down fast. You’re supposed to feel supported, but most days it felt like you were just another name on a spreadsheet. Not blaming individual managers as much as the structure itself.
