I was on a call with a client last week at the New York office when my manager interrupted to give advice. It was awkward, considering I had already covered the points we needed. I felt undermined, especially since I was handling the client well. This isn't the first time management has stepped in like this, and it's frustrating. It makes me wonder why they can't trust us to do our jobs without interference.
