One thing I’ll give Coca Cola credit for is that mentorship is there if you’re willing to ask for it. I’ve had managers who genuinely wanted to help me map out next steps and didn’t act threatened by me wanting to move departments. That said, it’s not automatic. If you sit back and wait, you’ll get lost in the machine. The people who advance are usually the ones who push for 1 on 1s and keep reminding leadership they want more.
