My boss warned me ‘things might change soon.’ What does that mean??

She said it casually at the end of a meeting. 'Just a heads up, things might change soon.' WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Layoffs? Reorg? Budget cuts? I’ve been spiraling all day.
