i was in a meeting yesterday afternoon at our chicago site. one of the senior managers casually dismissed a teammate's idea. it felt like a power play, just to show who's in charge. later, i overheard that same teammate complaining about getting shut down often. it's hard to focus on work when these little games keep happening.
