a few weeks ago, my manager mentioned that our promotion cycle was pushed back again. this was during a quick chat in the break room at the main campus. we were discussing project deadlines, and i asked about my growth path since ive been with INFY for over 12 years. he said they were waiting on approvals from higher up, and that it could take another couple of months. i felt frustrated but tried to stay positive. when i looked at my colleagues, they seemed equally unsure. the uncertainty really dampened the mood. we all want to know if we'll get recognized for our work, but nothing seems to happen on time. after that, i just went back to my desk and continued with my tasks, hoping things would change soon.
