Remote work was the only good thing

Remote work made the grind bearable. I spent years in the San Francisco office, juggling unclear priorities that often felt pointless. Being remote gave me the space to breathe and focus, especially when management kept shifting expectations. I remember one week in Charlotte, where I had to deal with last-minute changes that made no sense, but at least I wasn't stuck in a cubicle. That little freedom mattered a lot.
