External offer came in for the same engineering title, same city, and it is far enough above my Sony band that I had to read it twice. My manager said our bands are competitive, but the spreadsheet they showed looked frozen in a world where rent and competing offers stopped moving. I do not want to leave just to be paid like the market exists.
