when a “sales role” turns into shelf stocking

One of the most frustrating experiences people describe at Coca Cola is realizing that the job they were sold is not the job they actually got. Positions are promoted as sales opportunities, but end up being physically brutal merchandising work, downstocking hundreds of items in grocery stores with long hours and mandatory overtime paid at a reduced rate. The pay math often does not match the advertised salary, and what looks like a $50k role turns into something closer to $16 an hour once the real workload is factored in. For entry-level workers with few expectations, this might feel acceptable. But for anyone with real sales or management experience, the mismatch between the role description and the reality feels degrading and deeply misleading.
