Last Tuesday in Dublin, I worked a 14-hour day pushing through project deadlines. By the time I logged off, I was burnt out but felt like I had no choice. Unlimited PTO sounds good until you realize no one actually takes it without feeling guilty. It's not a sustainable way to operate and it's frustrating to see it normalized here. Even with all the talk about recharge weeks, the reality is we're often short-staffed and overwhelmed. It's hard to see how that changes when we keep piling on the work without the support we need.
