Took a call yesterday in NOC. A resident asked about fiber service in their area. I had to tell them our policy doesn't allow residential installs, even when there's fiber nearby. The frustration was clear on their end as we have service in some very unconnected places. This isn't the first time I've dealt with these kinds of inquiries. It's awkward explaining that we can't serve potential customers despite having the infrastructure.
