I keep hearing “big company means big opportunity” but honestly the reality is like… where? Most departments have one person in every role and nobody leaves unless they retire or win the lottery. You can be ki^ling it and it still doesn’t matter because advancement depends on whether you happen to report to someone who remembers you exist. The work is fine, the people are fine, the growth ceiling is made of steel.
