A customer came in furious about a missing order. He approached me at the service desk, yelling about how he had been promised delivery last week. I tried to calm him down, explaining the situation, but he wasn't having it. I flagged down a manager who was nearby to help, but they barely glanced our way. Instead, they went back to chatting with another associate. I ended up spending over twenty minutes trying to resolve the issue alone while the manager shrugged it off. Later, I overheard that manager talking with others about how we needed to improve customer service. It felt disheartening to see someone so out of touch with what was happening in front of them. No real action or support was given when it mattered. This isn't just about one incident, it happens too often. It seems like management prefers to stay out of the line of fire instead of getting involved and actually helping us help customers.
