A couple of weeks ago, i was in the Midland building on a Tuesday afternoon, wrapping up my shift when I found myself in a meeting about our current project timeline. The lead just casually mentioned we were two weeks behind schedule. No real explanation, just a shrug and a note that delays were expected when management changes priorities every few weeks. I wanted to know what decisions were made that led us here, but every time I asked, the responses were vague and offered no solutions. We kept hearing about open-door policies, but it felt like management was more concerned with looking good on slides than fixing problems we were facing day to day. Meanwhile, our team kept getting pulled into new tasks without clear direction. By the end of the meeting, it was clear we were left to scramble on our own. I walked out frustrated, knowing we were supposed to deliver results without any real support. tl;dr: management shifts led to missed deadlines and confusion
