mentorship’s okay but zero follow-up from management

I told my manager I wanted to grow my career, maybe get some guidance, and they said “we’ll work on that.” that was 8 months ago. there’s great programs and benefits but no one checks in. feels like the system’s there, but ppl don’t use it right.
