Found out the weekend cashier I am training on drive-thru is starting at my exact hourly rate. I have been here long enough to know the weird register shortcuts, the mobile order fixes, and which headset cuts out in lane two. I know pay is messy, but training someone for the same rate feels pretty insulting.
