The work from home program has issues

Last week during my shift in Pittsburgh, we had a team check-in over video. One of my colleagues was struggling with a project deadline. The conversation shifted to work from home. Someone mentioned feeling isolated without in-person support, and I noticed how many were entirely unprepared to handle distractions at home. It got heated when a manager suggested we all needed to embrace the remote work model because it was "the new normal." I spoke up, saying that while flexibility is great, the lack of collaboration tools has made workflow harder. You can't just sit at home and expect things to get done without proper systems in place. It felt like my voice got drowned out in that meeting, and it led to more frustration. Too many are pretending everything is fine while they struggle to adjust. I've been here long enough to see that remote work isn't cutting it for everyone. tl;dr: the remote setup is causing real problems for employees.
